Sculptures :: Birds :: Large Birds :: African Crowned Eagle (Stephanoaetus coronatus)

The Cape Town Museum loaned me a specimen shot in Knysna over a century ago.  I was astounded by the size of its talons which enables it to take such large prey.  The broad wings and paddle –shaped tail allows it to change direction quickly in the forest canopy.  I have created different rock bases for each of the editions.

Medium: Bronze, cemcrete rocks
Edition: Edition: 5 plus and artist proof A/P. Sold out
Size: 3 metres high including base.
