Warthog Dashing (Phacocherus aethiopicus)

When a predator is chasing warthogs, they “gallop” full tilt to escape danger. I have opened the mouth slightly to show clearly the upper and lower tusk-like canines. The canine teeth grow out sideways from the jaws, the larger upper pair curling over the upper jaw, the lower rubbing against their sides, thus remaining honed to razor-sharp points and edges.
