Archangel Michael
As an old boy of Michaelhouse, it is such an honor to have been able to do this sculpture that stands in the front of Michaelhouse school.
Tyre Horse
This sculpture is a life size Friesian horse. We went down to Cape Town to the horse show and we got to see one of the biggest Friesian in our country. And to see what I call “power floating” is just beautiful in movement of these powerful animals. That is what inspired me to create the sculpture from upcycled tires. Watching this Friesian stallion doing the half pass just burnt that image of this beautifu creature into my brain.
Dig Man
Dig Man is a student piece of mine that stands at the side of Barnato Hall at Wits Campus. I was working part-time with earthmoving equipment at the time and it struck me that once the operator leaves the machine it stands idle, and that man with his own two hands can’t do much, but when you put the two together you get an awesome digging machine.
